IdeaFish Publications (“IDFP”) respects your personal safety and privacy.  This Privacy Policy applies to our web sites, including but not limited to: www.ideafishpublications.com and Let there be Comic! (collectively, the “IDFP Sites” or “Site(s)”).  This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site(s), how we use that information, and what you can expect from IDFP.

Our IDFP Sites contain links to other web sites.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of any companies or individuals that IdeaFish Publications does not control, or any web sites that you link to from the IDFP Sites.  You should use caution and review the privacy policies of any sites that you visit from ours to learn more about their information practices.

Please take a few moments to read this agreement. By accessing the IDFP Sites, you agree to accept the provisions of this Privacy Policy and are aware that our policies may be changed in the future as our services evolve.  Please refer below for information regarding updates to this policy.

What We Collect:

IDFP will collect information from you via your comments (see publicly posted information), any ordering forms we may institute, from information sent in your emails to our staff and via PayPal interactions.  Information collected about you in the conduction of business transactions is considered “Personally Identifiable Information.”  We must collect a basic set of this before we can bill you for goods, or distribute any design or illustrative services.  Once we have gathered Personally Identifiable Information from you, you are no longer anonymous to us and will be protected as a valued customer.

We consider a basic package of Personally Identifiable Information to include your: Legal Name, Primary Email, Billing Address, Shipping Address, PayPal Email (if different from your primary email), A Contact Phone Number, and Any Relevant Information About The Service or Product You Are Ordering.  We maintain order records of all of our dealings and will retain a history on all of your previous purchases and online commissions.

We may also collect “Anonymous Information” such as your IP address, the type of browser you use, the pages on our Sites that you have visited, and the advertisements that you have clicked on.  Your Personally Identifiable Information can be linked to your Anonymous Information once it is provided.

Like many Internet sites, our platform uses “cookies” to collect information.  A cookie is a small data file that we automatically transfer to your computer and is stored on your hard drive.  When you visit our Site(s) the cookie identifies your computer to us so that you do not have to re-load data each time you visit.  We may also use cookies to measure the traffic to our Site(s) and the use of different services and features of the Site(s).  Advertisers that may appear on the IDFP Sites in the future can place cookies on your computer and their use of the information stored on those cookies is subject to their own privacy policies.  You should visit their sites to learn about their information practices, as IDFP has no control over these third party entities.  Advertisers or other companies do not have access to IDFP’s cookies, and none of the secured information you send us will ever be sold or intentionally made available.

You have the ability and the right to disable cookies in your browser’s settings, but as a site running off a WordPress blog template, not allowing these cookies may impede the function of our site rendering our information and services unavailable to you.  For more information please review the documentations over at WordPress.org.

While we have some products specifically targeted at children; we do not intend that children will use our Site(s).  We do not solicit or knowingly collect information from children under 13 years old; nor will we intentionally retain Personally Identifiable Information about any client revealed to be a minor under 13 years of age.  We encourage all Parents to supervise any use of the internet by their children and happily hope to provide any services desired to the Legal Guardian of any interested minor.

How We Use the Information We Collect:

We use Personally Identifiable Information that you provide to communicate with you, to process orders for products and services, to conduct research for internal purposes to improve the services provided on IDFP Sites.  When we use your contact information to communicate with you, you will have options in what information you will receive to be outlined below.

We use information that is not personally identifiable to determine how people use our web site and its services.  Examples of this are tracking our number of visitors and which areas of our site are the most popular.  This data allows us to improve our offerings and the performance of our Site(s).  Using your IP address, we can also determine the general physical location of a user and may at times use this information to better target future advertising.

We utilize Word Press, GoDaddy and Google Analytics, among other providers, in the function of our sites and recommend you review their policies as well.

How We Share Information:

Except as noted below, IDFP does not share your Personally Identifiable Information with third parties unless you give us your permission or we need to share such information in order to provide products or services you have requested.  For example, we use third parties to help with some of the products and services available on our site, such as processing payments and shipping orders.  We also engage third parties to assist us by tracking the number of visitors to the Site(s) with your Anonymous Information.  Whenever we do supply Personally Identifiable Information to these third parties, we require them to use it only for what they are helping us with.

When you see a prominent brand of another company on our site, you should be aware that information you supply in regards to that part of the site will be shared with the company that is cooperating in providing the service offered. Please visit that company’s site to learn more about their information practices.

We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information when required by law or under the good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary in order to conform to applicable law, comply with subpoenas, court orders or legal process served on IdeaFish Publications, to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, and to protect the property or interests of IDFP, its agents and employees, personal safety, or the public.  Under such circumstances, IdeaFish Publications may be prohibited by law, court order or other legal process from providing notice of the disclosure, and IDFP members reserves the right to not provide such notice in their sole discretion.

If we cease operation, your information will be retained solely in the event that we will someday reengage operations.

Your Contact Options:

If you subscribe to our mailing list you can join and leave at your pleasure, through the mailchimp interface.  You are also able to subscribe to our site updates and comments via our RSS Feeds.

Even if you choose not to receive information from us, we reserve the right to communicate with you on matters we consider especially important once we have your Personally Identifiable Information.

Publicly Posted Information:

We do not currently offer open subscription to our site for posting authorization, this functionality is reserved strictly for affiliates.  We do allow for the WordPress supported commenting function on many of our posts. If you chose to post a comment to one of the publically authorized forms anywhere on an IDFP Sites, please remember that anything you post is publicly available.  The user name, email, and url you enter in the commenting process are visible to all users of the Site(s), as well as any icon you link to your comments.

Any other user will be able to access the information that may appear with your comment.  IdeaFish Publications does not control, and is not responsible for, the use of any information or content that you yourself have exposed to the public through your use of the IDFP Sites.

Security:

Currently IDFP is not set up to operate its own in house social networking or open enrollment in our blog.  We rely upon email exchange, third party store providers, and PayPal services to collect official contracting and billing information about our customers.  We have installed firewall software on our site, and while no amount of online security is a complete guarantee, you can have a degree of confidence that the Personally Identifiable Information you give us is protected from unauthorized access and use by the sites we have selected to rely upon.

We rely on you to select passwords on these sites that cannot be guessed easily and to safeguard those passwords from disclosure.  Please contact us and/or the administration of the specific sites in question if you have any information regarding unauthorized use of the information you have provided.

Updates:

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically as the services we are able to offer evolve.  Only for major revisions will we make a general announcement on the main site, it is up to you, the user, to check if these policies have been updated.

Unless otherwise indicated, revised terms will take effect on the date they are posted. Once such changes become effective, your continued use of the Site(s) will signify your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, or any revised Privacy Policy, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using the Site(s).
