New Year…so many updates…

Well, congratulate ourselves for reaching another year, my holiday bonus has paid for another year of webhosting. Cheers for that!

I with little else going on I was shocked when I got a message to moderate comments and saw that KAB stopped by again after an even longer hiatus than mine. I was also shocked that I had multiple updates on every plug in, theme and the core of the site itself. I am now an intern again, serving as a graphic designer at a small local museum and I work more than full time hours once again until the beginning of summer. I will check these updates for functionality as best I can over the next few months. Hopefully my automated sales will still drop for anyone thinking about a purchase. There should be some interesting portfolio updates as projects have happened/are happening and I just need the time to finish and document them.

New Store Sections

Yes, for those of you waiting ever so patiently: the store now has it’s final layout and is only waiting for me to upload all the products I can. This means there will be an increasing number of fan art items that have been requested. Please shop around as we add more, so far all of the buttons are up.

Please note that discounts and sales run separately at conventions and on the website, items discontinued from production are on sale on the site, but they will be put in the random draw box at conventions. When I go to conventions it means there is no shipping
& handling charge on your purchase, so it is cheaper to buy in person.

Did you get that thing…

Apparently I have not been getting the email forwarded from the ideafishpublications.com emails. This seems to be due to a problem with the installation of my email client on my new computer rebuild, I am aware of the problem and taking steps to correct it. I thank the individual who first brought this problem to my attention.

I am working to fix it and hopefully everything will be running smoothly in short order.

The Chinese Lantern Festival Coloring Book

I have been selected as the illustrator for the children’s coloring book marketing the 2012 summer event at the Missouri Botanical Garden. The Lantern Festival: Art by Day, Magic by Night, will run May 29 – August 19 and feature beautiful Chinese lanterns and cultural displays. The coloring book I illustrated can be purchased in the Garden Gate Shop until the end of the Year of the Dragon, or viewed in my Behance Gallery.

Things to do in January…

Time always seems to escape me…

A list, then, of proposed updates for the month of December:

  • Finish Updating No One Knows
  • Figure out what to do with networking options
  • Buy supplies…almost have enough money
  • Stop crying and update LTBC
  • Get quote forms up on contracting page
  • Fix CSS for header and footer, seriously…I need to stop putting this off
  • Attempt to finish Learning Favorite Games or Vertical Smile
  • Design some ads and link banners for IDFP

Another steep list, I will hopefully get at least two points on it done…

Sketch Books mostly Added

I’ve updated the store once again with fine art sketchbooks, these are different from what you might have seen at conventions or fairs in the past as they follow more closely to the binding philosophy of my personal portfolios: that the book itself should be an art piece, not just the content.

They represent heavy use of supplies and significantly more time than the little hobby bound books I have furnished in the past and their prices reflect this, I spent multiple days on each book. I hope to improve my photography further to show you all the details our current images are missing, the books are truly very charming. Anyone who wants to fill art with more art, in an artistically redundant spiral, should really consider purchasing one.
